All-on-4® Dental Implants: What to Expect From Consult to New Smile
Four implants, one arch, new teeth the same day. Here is how full-arch treatment works and how to prepare.

If you are living with several failing teeth or a denture that slips, All-on-4® can replace an entire upper or lower arch with a fixed bridge that never comes out. The name comes from the technique: four implants, with the back two angled to use the strongest bone in your jaw.
Who is a good candidate for All-on-4®?
All-on-4® is designed for people who are:
- Missing most or all teeth in one or both arches
- Facing extraction of multiple decayed or loose teeth
- Frustrated with removable dentures
- Told they lack bone for traditional implants
Surgery day: teeth in a day
After a 3D scan and smile design, any remaining failing teeth are removed and four implants are placed, usually under IV or oral sedation. A lightweight fixed temporary bridge is attached the same day, so you walk out smiling.
After about 3–6 months of healing, you receive your final bridge, made of high-strength zirconia or a hybrid material that is designed to look natural and resist chipping.
Recovery tips
Plan on a soft diet for the first several weeks. Swelling peaks around day three and fades within a week. Most people return to desk work in two to three days. Rinse as directed, avoid smoking, and keep follow-up visits so we can check healing.
